WEB3 AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS
We are on the verge of a new wave of entrepreneurship and innovation. One that reimagines the internet’s underlying architecture and gives rise to digital applications driven by distributed data networks, transferable digital assets, and community ownership or engagement.
The Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Arkansas is bringing together web3 founders, investors, and multi-disciplinary students to launch digital solutions that can create value for users on a global scale.
Our mission is to foster the development and growth of founders and students who aim to design and build the next generation of the internet.
WHAT IS WEB3?
Web3 is a broad concept that refers to the evolution of the internet, where individuals are empowered to own the rights to their digital identity, data, and assets. For the first time, these assets can move swiftly and securely across online spaces. Web3 solutions are characterized by terms like open source software, decentralization, crypto currency and tokenized payments, and self-sovereign identities. This tech creates new monetization models for communities, businesses, and even metaverses.
MEET-UPS AND WORKSHOPS
The Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation offers a variety of in-person meet-ups for beginners and virtual workshops for those on the more technical side. These events are free and designed for every level of web3 knowledge or skill building.
