Design Solution Challenge

Do you have an idea that might help solve a social or environmental problem?
Do you know of a specific problem in need of a solution?

Empower yourself as an active change maker. Use your interests, skills and imagination to make a difference.

Students traditionally learn technical aspects of their disciplines in the classroom, and more practically during internships. The Design Challenge provides extra opportunities to broaden the scope of your learning.

Challenges are designed not only to create awareness, but to encourage students to focus their talents on issues affecting our state, our nation, and our world.

Who Can Post a Challenge?

Social Enterprises

The social enterprises that we work with are regional, national or global organizations structured as either for profit or not for profit entities. The social mission of these organizations are as important to their success as any potential profit.

Businesses or Corporations

Challenges can come from existing businesses as long as they connect with a social, environmental or energy efficiency issue.

Students/Faculty or Campus Groups

There is a lot of work happening on-campus already connected to social issues. The University community can post challenges to attract others on campus with an interest in their ideas.
